Cowden - Autumn
We had a grand turnout of eight members for Cowden, including new members Alister Elwis and Richard Pawlyn.
A lot of undergrowth and old crumbly wall and earth had to be cleared before we could progress . The stone is not the easiest to work with, particularly when trying to create a neat cheek end, but the weather held out for most of the time.
We were well fed by the garden café and looked after by gardener Brian; all in a delightful setting.
A finishing day later in October saw Gregor, Ian, Kate and I finish the work on a beautiful autumn day. This time Kate White looked after us well and being a Monday the garden was closed to visitors. All was tranquil and Taz was allowed to go voling all day!
