Merryhill Training course 23rd-24th September

As previously the course was fully booked with 8 trainees. They all listened to the instructions and dismantled the wall by 1pm. Building could then begin and by the end of day 1 the wall was half way up.

The group gelled quickly and worked well as a team with no-one isolated at any point. By end of day 2 there were a lot of smiles and promises to encourage friends to book a course. The weather stayed dry until 5 minutes after the copes had been placed.

Several had personal projects so asked targeted questions and Calum involved them in different parts of the wall in order to explain things directly. One member had attended the beginners’ course at South Mains last year and loved it so much she encouraged her work colleague to join her for another weekend. Unfortunately work commitments didn’t allow them to come back on the Sunday.

One participant expressed an interest in doing a Level 1 course.
