Castlandhill Members’ Event 19th October, 2024

Having had to postpone our walling event at Little Trochry Farm until next spring an alternative venue for our final members’ event was found . We returned to Castlandhill near Rosyth, hosted by the owner and CSDSWA member Iain Dalzel Job. Because the weather forecast for the Sunday was dire, we opted for a one day event.

We were continuing the work done over the years restoring a wall on the wooded hill above the house. The stone is awkward to work with, but we managed to complete a functional section and were blessed by good weather. The team consisted of Bill T, Trish W, Richard P and new members Barbara N, Chris G and Lucy C who was visiting her mother in Balerno, but has moved to Kirkcudbright. A great team and a good day’s work - Iain was delighted.
