Beginners' Training Course in Dry Stone Walling at Merryhill - 28th & 29th August, 2021

Our third training course of the season and first ever at Merryhill was scheduled for the end of August. Once again 6 trainees were signed up and Calum agreed to be instructor for the weekend. Dorothy and Kate Thomson acted as the branch support team. This time participants came from reasonably nearby, with the furthest travelled coming from Monifieth. Everyone seemed to enjoy the weekend in glorious sunshine and voiced their appreciation of Calum’s tuition.

Hi Dorothy,  Just wanted to send an email and say thank you for running the course over last weekend. It was exactly what I hoped it would be. It was a great hands on experience and Calum was great at answering questions and explaining things in a way that could be understood ………………….. The location was perfect too and really easy to find!  Thanks Diane 

Since the event 2 people have joined DSWA and one has attended her first members’ event.
